However, he's just used a minor, unintelligent character in the film. Doomsday is the only being that can kill Superman in combat, and in Batman V Superman, he does. Remember they don't know how to entice audiences over villains? Doomsday is the perfect example of that. Doomsdayĭoomsday is perhaps the best example of what's wrong with DC Films. Furthermore, he doesn't need any external devices, or sources to power himself. Apart from having superhuman powers, and mystical powers, Apocalypse has a deep understanding of all the sciences of the world, and is a reservoir of knowledge, which makes him even more dangerous. Trust us when we say this, the film did not even scratch the surface of what Apocalypse is actually capable of. Remember X-Men: Apocalypse ? Apocalypse was one of the first mutants to have ever existed and possibly one of the most powerful ones. Galactus' existence is necessary to maintain the balance between eternity, life, and death. A part of Galactus has existed before the Big Bang, which makes him one of the oldest things in the universe. Although he is categorised as a supervillain, he is more like an anti-hero. However, as per the comics, and a number of animated editions, Galactus is a cosmic entity, like Dormammu from Doctor Strange, but not as laughable. Galactus as a character has really not been explored in the cinematic universe of Marvel. Darkseid has all that power, without the gauntlet. Imagine all the strengths that Thanos has including the powers he gets from the Infinity Gauntlet, barring the snapping of fingers and the world coming to an end. Believe it or not, Thanos was actually copied from Darkseid. DC Films really has a great thing with Darkseid in their hands, and we sincerely hope that they don't shoot themselves in the foot.ĭC & Marvel Comics have often copied characters from each other, and are almost parallel in terms of characters. The way Marvel teased the audience about Thanos was just brilliant. One reason why people don't appreciate DC movies is just how bad they make the villains out to be. When we got to know that Jack Snyder's new Justice League movie is going to have Darkseid as the supervillain, man were we excited. Had she been a part of the Avengers, Thanos wouldn't stand a chance. On top of that, she has a number of mystical powers, including ageing someone drastically. For crying out loud, not only did she stop Thor's hammer, the Mjolnir, while it was in flight, she crushed it using her bare hands. Hela just had to be on the list after all, she literally is the god of death in Asgard, and practically rules over everything in that world. Unfortunately for true comic book fans her portrayal in films and most animated series, has been rather lacklustre. As per a number of X-Men comic books, Dark Phoenix has destroyed a number of solar systems, galaxies, and universes, just by thinking of it. Jean Grey's Dark Phoenix is one of the most devastating evil powers in any comic book universe. Don't go by the mess of a film that the 2019 film, Dark Phoenix was.
